Home/Approach

How we work

A repeatable path to a
cloud that behaves.

Great cloud outcomes aren’t luck — they’re method. Every Enkompass engagement follows the same five-stage compass, tuned to your environment, so you always know where you are and what’s next.

What guides every decision

Four principles that keep
us pointed north.

01

Evidence over opinion

Every recommendation traces back to your real usage data and a Well-Architected pillar — never a hunch or a vendor quota.

02

Reversible by default

We move in small, tested increments with a rollback for each. Go-live should be boring, and it is.

03

Cost is a feature

Spend is reviewed in the same breath as performance and security — not bolted on after the bill arrives.

04

Leave you stronger

We document and pair as we go, so your team owns what we build long after we’ve gone.

The five-stage compass

From first call to a cloud
that runs itself.

Each stage produces something tangible you can review and keep — never a black box.

1
Week 1–2 · Fixed fee

Assess

We instrument your accounts and run a full Well-Architected review across all five pillars. You get a scored findings report, a cost baseline, and a prioritized roadmap — yours to keep regardless of what comes next.

2
Week 2–3

Chart the course

Findings become a sequenced plan: which workloads move first, where the biggest savings sit, what to remediate now versus later. We align engineering and finance on one roadmap with clear owners and dates.

3
Ongoing · Dedicated pod

Migrate & build

A certified pod executes in reversible increments — landing zone, then waves, then refactors — with weekly demos and a tested rollback for every cutover. You see progress every Friday, not just at the end.

4
Continuous

Optimize

With workloads live, we tighten the loop: right-sizing, commitment planning, and guardrails that prevent waste and drift before they cost you. Savings compound quarter over quarter.

Optional · Managed

Operate

If you want us to stay, we run the estate against monthly targets — monitoring, patching, incident response, and a standing architecture review — as a named extension of your team.

Transparency, weekly

You always know where the engagement stands.

No status-meeting theater. Every engagement runs against a shared board with live cost, risk, and delivery signals — the same view your Enkompass lead works from.

  • Weekly demos of working software, not slideware.
  • Live cost & risk dashboard shared with finance.
  • Documented handover so nothing lives only in our heads.

Method, answered

How the work actually runs.

The assessment is two weeks. From there, a focused project typically runs 6–12 weeks; a full migration can run a quarter or two depending on estate size. We sequence in waves so value lands continuously, not all at the end.

A technical sponsor and access to your accounts is enough to start. As we move into delivery we pair with your engineers so knowledge transfers naturally — but we never need to take your team off their roadmap to keep ours moving.

Because we work in small reversible increments against a shared board, re-prioritizing is a conversation, not a contract renegotiation. We replan at the wave boundary and keep going.

Yes. Infrastructure is code, runbooks are written, and dashboards are yours. You can take full ownership, keep us on in a managed capacity, or anything in between — there’s no lock-in by design.

The assessment is the first stage of the compass — and a complete deliverable on its own. Two weeks, fixed fee, no obligation.
